Carmelle Philippe is the only child and first generation to attend college in her family. Carmelle was a camper at Cambridge Camping many years ago, became a counselor in training, and then a counselor. Fast forward to 2021 – She has served on the board 5 years now. The reason she serves on this board is to help ensure that little girls like she once was can experience the fun, joy, and support that comes with a loving camp community. All those experiences at Cambridge Camping set her on a path to pursuing a career in Education at Cambridge Public Schools. Carmelle believes all students are capable of learning, thinking and developing their social-emotional skills beyond their expectations. Carmelle holds a special place in her heart for all children and those with learning disabilities. She believes students can become passionate lifelong learners who can apply their thinking skills beyond the classroom.
